In Cold Blood

It is hard to believe that the author of "Breakfast at Tiffany's" also wrote the non-fiction account of a brutal murder that occurred in a small Kansas town on November 15, 1959. The book is "In Cold Blood", it's author, Truman Capote. (Listed in the early post on the 100 best works of non fiction of the last 100 years.) Now, 50 years and four movies later, the Guardian.co.uk takes a look back at the murder that shocked the nation. Read it here.

I particularly enjoyed Richard Brooks' 1967 adaptation, well perhaps "enjoyed" isn't the right word to use.
